Functional Area 3: Independent Test,
Validation, Verification, and Evaluation
In this functional area, ACCESS provides a full range of
independent test, validation, verification, and evaluation
solutions to ensure that all IT products and services meet DHS
standards, and are performing to defined design, cost, schedule
and performance specifications and capabilities.
ACCESS has performed IV&V services for Federal Government
customers that include DHS’ Transportation Security
Administration, the Department of Veterans Affairs, the
Department of Commerce, and the Marine Corps Systems Command.

Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC) Program
Validation, Verification, and Testing (VV&T) Support for the
TWIC System
ACCESS is performing a validation, verification, and testing
(VV&T) contract for the Department of Homeland Security,
Transportation Security Administration that supports the SDLC
design and implementation of a new Transportation Worker
Identification Credential (TWIC) System. The TWIC is designed to
improve security of identity management by establishing a
system-wide common credential that is universally acceptable
across all transportation modes. It will be used for all
personnel whose duties require unescorted physical and logical
access to secure areas of the transportation system. ACCESS’
role in the VV&T project is to provide a wide range of technical
reviews, SDLC documentation assessments, test and evaluation,
and cost assessments.
Functional Area 4: Software Development
In this functional area, ACCESS provides any and all phases of
software design and development including deployment to ensure
DHS applications and databases will enable their users to meet
their mission goals and objectives.
ACCESS has performed software development services for a number
of Federal Government customers, including the Marine Corps
Systems Command, the Federal Aviation Administration, the
Department of State, and the Department of the Interior.
